Our whisky carries the legacy of Scotland’s earliest trademarks — from the bold “X in a Box” Saltire-style symbol first registered in 1876, to the pioneering Famed Loch Katrine Malt, whose protections helped secure the use of the term Single Malt on Scotch whisky branding that same year.
These early marks were more than legal safeguards; they were symbols of trust and cultural milestones that shaped the identity of Scotch itself.
By reviving this heritage — some of the very first branding to carry Scotch into the commercial age — we celebrate legacy, craftsmanship and the role whisky has played in Scotland’s prosperity, innovation and national character.
