The Big Yin is an independent bottler of exceptional single cask whiskies, unique cask finishes and no age statement (NAS) whiskies. Our philosophy encompasses the centuries old craft of whisky making to ensure we release only unadulterated whiskies. Being independent allows us to stay true to the quality of the dram we bottle, not the quantity, introducing whisky as the distiller planned.

Cask selection begins with careful consideration of a cask’s provenance, from the purity of the water that supplies the distillery, the climate and humidity of the environment, to the traditions observed in production and maturation. Each cask unlocks and shapes individual complex flavours and notes with no two casks being exactly the same – we source only exceptional whiskies, distilled the traditional way.
